What you will need to use the NTL broadband service:

With ntl:home Broadband you will connect to the Internet via a separate standalone cable modem or the cable modem which is built into your digital TV set top box. The type of service will depend on where you live in the country

Standalone cable modem customers:
The NTL engineer will connect the cable modem unit to the ntl:home network. You will be able to connect your cable modem by following the instructions in the quick start guide and Broadjump Installation CD (these are supplied by ntl)

Digital set top box customers:
You'll receive:

An Ethernet cable
Ethernet-to-USB adapter
Cross-over (x-over) adapter

If you already subscribe to the digital TV service you won't necessarily require an engineer to visit as you already have a cable modem in your home, however, in most instances an engineer will come to install your Broadband Internet
